BREC partners with HABD on Mixed-Use Housing Development
Community members, officials and representatives from the City of Birmingham and Jefferson County Commission gathered to witness the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) begin the long-awaited demolition of Birmingham’s Southtown Court. The demolition will consist of the removal of 455 obsolete apartments making way for a new, mixed-use development downtown including multi-family, retail, commercial and office space.
Construction on the multi-family development will begin Q2 2023.
